The New Moon in Scorpio is happening on the 20th of November at 8:46am (SAST).
New Moons are when the sun and the moon are together, symbolising the beginning of the lunar cycle. This time of the cycle is used to plant metaphorical seeds for something you feel called to cultivate and grow over the rest of the lunar cycle.
The Moon is in its fall in Scorpio, as it is exalted in the sign of Taurus. The moon symbolises our feelings, emotions, and the collective psyche. Scorpio is fixed water, making it a very deep, intense, extreme, and fixation-focused sign. All of this to say, a new moon in Scorpio is usually a very internally reflective and intense time.
The Moon is at 28 degrees of Scorpio, placing it in the third decan, which is ruled by Venus and associated with the seven of cups tarot card – known as the “Lord of delusion”. When this part of the sky is illuminated, it shows that themes of fear and desire that aren’t reflected in reality.
The moon is also tightly conjunct Mercury retrograde at 28 degrees. Showing that communication, travel, and planning things could be difficult or miscommunications could occur. There is a sense that the matter at hand will be defined by the miscommunication and the manner in which you will have to work around the complexities that occur.
Uranus retrograde in Taurus is also at play. Uranus is the planet of volatility, chaos, disruption, randomness, and experimentation. Showing that there will be a 180-degree disruption on what you are doing.
Also conjunct Lilith within 2 degrees, representing a creative, feminine, or powerful feminine energy that is dark or witchy. Showcasing that there is a feeling of magic or the occult is involved in the beginning of the matter at hand.
There is a Grand Water Trine present during the new moon, showing that there is a creative or spiritual alignment here with intuition, stability, and realism. Therefore, you will feel as if luck is on your side during all the chaotic events and a higher feeling of alignment around the larger plan.
