This SUPER full moon is happening on the 19th of August 2024 at 20:25 SAST.
Full moons are always the high point of the lunar cycle. The sun is opposite the moon, there is
the most light reflected off the moon, and it is the most high energy point in the lunar cycle.
The sun is in 27 degrees of Leo and the moon is opposite that, in 27 degrees of Aquarius.
Making it so that the sun and the moon are both in the third decan of their signs. With the sun in
the third decan in Leo that is ruled by Mars, this is generally about courage; pushing through;
and achieving. While the moon is in the third decan of Aquarius, which is associated with the
seven of Swords tarot card – known as the Lord of Futility. This card says that there in no point
in staying in a situation. Therefore we can say that the cumulative energy for this full moon is,
the final push that requires getting out of the way and exiting the situation because it is not
worth it.
Communication is also a large focal point during this time, because the sun is conjunct within 1
degree with Mercury Retrograde. With it being under the sun, it shows that there will be clarity
shown upon the situation. And with Mars conjunct with Jupiter, it shows that there will be
honourable and bigger person actions.
In the Leo-Aquarius axis, Leo’s energy is very in our own experience and in our leadership/
lifeforce energy. While Aquarius is zooming out and contemplating our role in the larger span of
humanity, while viewing it from a more logical and detached perspective.
