Libra New Moon : 21st of October

The sun and the moon are together in Libra, on the 21st of October at 14:24. New Moons represent new beginnings, as they are the beginning of the lunar cycle. While Libra is a cardinal air sign, meaning it is concerned with leading, social, or harmonising people-focused events. Libra’s are often compelled to bring peace and understanding to a situation, for chaos to be minimised.

The moon is within the third decan of Libra, which is associated with the 4 of Swords Tarot Card (known as truce) and ruled by the planet Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, optimism, and harmony. But, Libra is ruled by Venus – therefore the themes of this New Moon is optimism and our positivity to bring about a truce.

The moon is opposite Chiron in Aries. Chiron is an asteroid that is known as the wounded healer. This shows that there might be a trigger to an insecurity/ humiliation/ pain point/ struggle that you had, and only by embracing being vulnerable about it and guiding other walking the same path as you once did will become the key to your happiness. In short, the struggle becomes the lesson.

The moon is in a T-square with Jupiter in Cancer, showing that optimism, excitement, growth, and adventure is core to this time. Mercury is conjunct Mars and Scorpio, showing that words could come across as aggressive during this time. As this is also conjunct Lilith, it could be around empowering language rather than being cruel. Venus is also co-present in Libra, and as the main ruling planet is in its own sign, it is very good for comfort, harmony, and success within relationships.
