Celebrate Life Festival showcases holistic living in Cape Town

Cape Town’s popular Celebrate Life Festival, run annually since 2002, showcases
the exploding trend towards holistic living at the River Club in Observatory on the
weekend 17 & 18 August.
Designed to provide an affordable opportunity for exploring a multitude of lifeenhancing
options in a single location, the festival encompasses everything healthy,
eco-friendly and sustainable presented in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
This year Celebrate Life has teamed up with Similisan, a leading European
homeopathic brand available throughout South Africa, to add an international
dimension to the programme of expert presenters, informative demonstrations and
beneficial workshops that operate alongside a comprehensive array of products,
modalities and great food.
The line-up of local and international experts in integrated healing, wellbeing and
conscious living is headlined by Dr Geert Verhelst, one of the world’s leading lights
in nutrition, diabetes and cholesterol. A physician, medical homeopath and author,
Belgium based Dr Verhelst’s “Groot Handbook Geneeskrachtige Planten” is widely
regarded as the authority on medicinal plants in parts of Europe.
Demonstrations range from food preparation and various forms of dance to songs
and music, workshops include Tai Chi, Tarot, drumming, the celebration of sound
and sustainable lifestyle topics while there are nearly 100 stall holders covering the
full spectrum of holistic wellbeing.
Centrally situated with ample free parking at the River Club in Observatory, the
Celebrate Life Festival encourages you to let you soul soar as you ‘spoil your body,
stretch your mind and feed your spirit’ with one entry fee covering all aspects
including talks, workshops and demonstrations.
